Dr. Akash Dania is currently Professor of Finance at the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at the College of Business at Delaware State University. Previously, he served as an Associate Professor Finance and Director of the Graduate Business Programs at Alcorn State University’s School of Business. He received his doctoral degree in Finance from the University of Texas, Pan American in 2008. Dr. Dania also holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Texas, Pan American. Dr. Dania has published (in journals such as Journal of Wealth Management, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Asset Management, Journal of Emerging Markets, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Commerce and Management, Journal of Asia Business Studies) and presented (at conferences such as the Financial Management Association, Academy of Economics and Finance, Academy of International Business Studies) several papers in areas of Real Estate Finance, International Finance, Financial consequences of Terrorism, and Banking. Dr. Dania is a member of the Financial Management Association, Academy of Economics and Finance, Federation of Business Discipline and has reviewed for Journal of Multinational Financial Management and Journal of International Business Studies. In 2013, Dr. Dania's paper on international mutual funds was awarded with outstanding paper award in international business studies by the federation of business disciplines.
