Margaret M. Ferrara, PhD is the Director of Elementary, Secondary, and Human Development and Family Studies in College of Education at University of Nevada Reno. She has an extensive background and research in family engagement and parent involvement with a specific focus on the secondary teacher preparation level. Her curriculum design is used as a model for other institutions, especially those who deliver instruction through an on-line format. In addition, she is the coordinator of the Community-University-School Partnership (CUSP), a clearinghouse of projects and partnerships that link the College of Education with partners in the local school district and the city of Reno.
