Despite a growing body of evidence about the importance of creating relationships that create high trust to achieve high performance, many leaders and organizations have adopted a win/lose relationship with their employees. The consequences of that approach have resulted in both “The Great Resignation” and “The Quiet Quitting” phenomena and have seen organizations of all types struggle to succeed. In response to this decline in organizational performance, the Academy for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business has recognized the need for organizations to focus on applied business research and an increased commitment to values-based leadership. In keeping with that spirit, the Journal of Business Administration Research is calling for papers that focus on creating high performance work cultures in a special edition that will be published in November 2023. The Guest Editors of this special edition are Dr. Cam Caldwell of the Modern College of Business and Science in Muscat, Oman and Executive Dean Dima Rachid Jamali of the Canadian University of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Scholars seeking to submit papers for this special edition should do so at jbar@sciedupress.com. Publication Schedule |
